Haley + Emilee are a fantastic team of women behind the brand called Mint + Lovely, in addition to several new assistants to accommodate their workload. They’re a Milwaukee-based duo with two main objectives: (1) designing custom wedding stationery suites and (2) hosting intimate gatherings and creative workshops. We created so many great images during their branding photo session for designers!
We’ve worked together in the past, and I’ve had the pleasure of attending some of their workshops. I’ve seen plenty of events, and what they’re doing on the local scene is completely unique! Haley and Emilee live by the philosophy of “experiences over things” and wow do they know how to put on an event. They think of the entire experience, down to the smallest comforts and details.
The versatility of the studio space for your branding session
As you might know, Wisconsin is unpredictable in the fall and winter. The great thing about having a studio space is that we’re able to have a session no matter the weather outside! If you choose to step outside you can, but many of my sessions take place right indoors in the studio space with all of its natural light and white/minimal spaces. It’s essentially a lovely blank canvas that fits well for most brands!
Mint and Lovely, as a company, is about celebrating all of life’s moments, from special occasions to everyday moments. When they came to me with the idea of incorporating confetti, I was absolutely 100% on board! Having the studio space allowed us to use several different props and settings (including a fun confetti toss) knowing that we could have full use of all the space as long as we tidied up afterwards.
They do several workshops and need content for social media, email marketing campaigns, and their website, so with a couple brand photo sessions per year we create most of their behind the scenes, branded content for the year at once!
