Who doesn’t love a summer picnic? I was about to go on maternity leave (due in a few days), when the weather turned lovely, so I decided to do a picnic shoot for some picnic lifestyle hospitality photos. This gorgeous wooden serving board made by Camino Woodshop was the perfect foundation to build a snacking board with local charcuterie, cheeses, fruit, and jam.

So with my giant bump, I set up this summery picnic in my own backyard next to our patio. I even added a book for some shots, as well as two different picnic blanket options. The point of picnic lifestyle hospitality photos was to make them look casual, and that you could picture yourself right here. Imagine yourself jumping right into the picnic scene, plopping down to enjoy the snacking board. Powerful photos allow us to transport ourselves like that, and so I imagine we could relax, feel the spring breeze, and sit down to enjoy this together.
